About us

Ballarat Leagues Club was officially opened in September of 1998, by the Ballarat Football League Social Club Inc. Managed and operated by the BFL Social Club, the primary purpose of the Ballarat Leagues Club is to provide support and funding for the Ballarat Football Netball League and Australian football in the Ballarat region. We are a community club who supports various organisations and community groups throughout Ballarat and the wider area.

Proudly supporting the Ballarat Football Netball League

The McDonald’s Ballarat FNL continues to benefit from its partnership with the Ballarat Football League Social Club Inc (trading as the Ballarat Leagues Club) as it moves into its 21st year of partnership in 2019.

Originally opening in September of 1998, the primary purpose of the Ballarat Leagues Club is to provide support and funding for the Ballarat Football Netball League and Australian football in the Ballarat region. The BLC are a community club who supports various organisations and community groups throughout Ballarat and the wider area.

In the past 10 years alone, the BLC has contributed $734,504.42 and direct financial contributions to affiliated Ballarat FNL clubs at an average of around $41,000 per year over the past 6 years.

On Monday 17th September, all 11 Ballarat FNL clubs were presented with a cheque to the amount of $2,500 each for their 2018 contribution at the Henderson Medal.

The Ballarat Leagues Club Committee consists of Ballarat Football Netball League identities such as Life Members Robert Allan and Mick Toner as well as Darren Findlay and Michael Taylor who have had long stints with clubs in the competition as Coach and Administrator. The BLC Committee is led by former BFNL Board member Shane Molloy who continues in the role as Chairman and is supported by respected businessmen Phil Dalton and Rod Beaumont.

The Ballarat Leagues Club is committed to the continued support of the long-term future of the Ballarat Football Netball League and we look forward to continuing to build on the returned support provided by clubs and their affiliated members to the venue moving forward.
