If you need help, we have a list of frequently asked questions and answers. We strive to give you the best experience possible. Click a question below to view the answer.

  • Do you take group bookings?

    BLC is perfect for group bookings as we have large bistro, with plenty of room for your group to enjoy. Group bookings are welcome to order and pay separately, or run a tab to be paid for by the host.  If you’re wanting to discuss a group booking you are best to call us and speak to one of our friendly staff in the bistro, and we can run through your options to ensure we take care of your every need.

  • Can I make a phone order?

    Whether you’re on your lunch break or heading for a movie or show we can have your meal ready for you when you arrive. Simply call 03 5331 5830 minimum 45 minutes before arriving, speak to our staff to place your order, and we can have your meal ready at your pre-determined time. When you arrive, simply check in with the bistro staff, pay for your meal and we can send it out immediately.

  • Do you cater for gluten free and other dietary requirements?

    We do have gluten free options, as well as vegetarian and vegan options on our menu. These are marked on our Bistro Menu. We can also cater for those with allergies. We must stress that all dietary requirements must be advised to our staff when ordering. If you are unsure of the ingredients for any of our dishes, please see our friendly staff and we can assist you with your enquiry. We can also alter or tailor a dish to suit your dietary requirements in most cases.

  • Do you have a Seniors Menu?

    We offer a seniors menu Monday-Friday for lunch (excluding public holidays). Simply present your Seniors card when ordering. The Seniors menu is available 11.30-2.30 weekdays.


    Please note we also offer a 20% discount for Carers when they display their Carer’s Card.

  • Do you have a Kids room?

    We do not currently have a Kids room. However, our kids meals include an activity pack which can help entertain younger guests.

  • Do you have bands or any forms of entertainment?

    We do not have regular entertainment, however we do offer live music and various other special events throughout the year.  

    Check out the Events page of the website and follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with all upcoming entertainment on offer.

  • Do you have a courtesy bus?

    We do not offer Courtesy Bus Services, but we are located centrally, with a short 10 minute walk from the CBD.


    We also have a number of Motels located in the Bakery Hill area, only 5 minutes walk from the front door. These Motels include The Menzies Quality Inn, Central City Motor Inn, City Views Ballarat, and Bakery Hill Motel.

  • Do you have TAB and KENO facilities?

    We have a TAB Easy Bet terminal in our Sports Bar, plus Sky Racing, Trackside and Fox Sports throughout our venue. We also have Keno Easy TouchTerminal, with Keno Screens throughout.


    The Ballarat Leagues Club supports the Responsible Service of Gambling.

  • Do you have Fox Sports and Fox Footy?

    We have Fox Sports featuring major sports such as AFL Fox Footy, V8 Supercars, A-League Soccer, NBA Basketball & ESPN. Feel free to contact the venue to ensure we are covering your favourite sport.

  • Do you take group bookings, bus groups for community & seniors groups?

    We specialise in hosting Bus Groups, and Community Groups such as Probus & Seniors Groups. Feel free to contact venue management to arrange a 2 Course Set Menu. Alternatively feel free to pre-order or order in-venue from our Light or Bistro Menu.

  • Can we bring in a cake in the Bistro when we have a group booking?

    You are welcome to bring in a cake for your special occasion, including candles, sparklers, serviettes & plastic plates and spoons if you wish.


    If you prefer to use a crockery plate, cutlery, serviette and cream we can provide this to you at the reasonable cake surcharge of $1.50 per head.


    Please advise us in advance if you require this service.

  • What forms of payment do you take?

    We have the ability to take cash payments, Visa or Mastercard, and the majority of EFTpos cards at all of our till points. 


    Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners Card.


    We have ATM facilities available in our sports bar if you require cash out.

  • Do you have a car park?

    We have a Carpark with ample parks located at our Bistro Entrance. Enter from Mair Street side of the venue. We also have numerous street parks on both Mair and Humffray Streets.


    Our car park has 2 Disabled spaces and portico for drop off and pick up.

  • Do you have wheel-chair access?

    We have wheel chair access throughout our venue. Enter via our Main Carpark entrance for access including ramps. Please see our friendly staff while in venue to access all public areas of our venue.

  • Do you offer take away meals?

    Yes we do take-away meals and coffee. Simply phone the Club on 03 5331 5830 and place your order. Contactless Free pickup is available.

  • Do you have Morning Melodies?

    We have Morning Melodies every month, starting at 10:30am through until 12pm. We have a wonderful sing along and lots of fun.  Morning Melodies costs $10 per head, and includes morning tea. We also offer the option of including lunch with your Morning Melodies ticket for an additional $15 (Total cost $25).

  • Do you recommend nearby accommodation?

    Quest Ballarat Station is located close to Ballarat Leagues Club and offers modern serviced apartments.
